Let’s start with the bottom of your outfit : for the shoes, the best stays a pair of sneakers. We advise you to make sure they are tied correctly, to avoid the shoelaces getting caught in the brakes. More generally, any type of shoes can work, as long as they are closed.
It is not allowed to do go-karting while wearing flip-flops or shoes in which your feet are not held correctly.
Equipment for the legs : it is recommended to wear pants, jeans or sweatpants. Your legs must be completely covered. It is strongly advised not to wear shorts or capripants.
Regarding the top of your outfit : t-shirts are mandatory, at the minimum. We strongly advise you to wear a jacket, vest or sweater, even in summer. In winter, don’t forget to wear appropriate clothing : fleece jacket, thermal shirt, or heavy jacket, to lessen the cold’s effects. If you have gloves, we strongly advise you to put them on before setting foot on the track.
Safety rules
Important for your safety when choosing your go-karting rental equipment.
1. It is important not to wear baggy clothes or hoods too big, to avoid them getting caught in the go-kart and being ripped off.
2. It is imperative to tie your hair up, and put it in the hair net before putting on the helmet. Indeed, long hair can get stuck in the equipment, and this can lead to very dangerous situations.
3. Finally, it is mandatory to leave scarfs and headscarfs before getting into our go-karts, in order to avoid strangulations and other dangerous situations.
These 3 rules are to be respected at all times when on a go-karting track.
Our go-karting rental equipment and our track
Our GT5 SODIKART go-karts available on our go-karting track in Lyon are perfectly adapted to our circuit and our location. They are ratified and are amongst the safest go-karts on the market. Indeed, their wheels are streamlined to avoid accidents. They have protections around the engine and the back wheels in order to avoid burns and such. They also have reinforcements on their contact pints, to absord the most of any choc.
Renting go-kart equipment
require maximum security, and our team is particularly attentive on this.
Our helmet are ratified for go-karting practice, always in the same goal of maximum safety.
Last but not least, our track is specifically adapted to our location. The outside of the track are cleared. Only the exit zones and risk zones are protected with tires attached to one another, in order to reduce the risks and absorb any crash.
