A safe start to the day
Greatly appreciated by adults for combining fun with friends, a sense of competition and the thrill of speed, karting is also an original idea for a family outing. But we still need to find a track that’s accessible to our little ones, and not just teenagers…
That’s why we’ve developed a range of karting courses for children in Lyon, so that young and old alike can have fun on the track.
Depending on your child’s age, you have three options:
- For children aged 5 and over: our two-seater kart lets you put your little one in the passenger seat while you drive.
- By placing your hands on the fixed steering wheel, he'll feel like he's assisting you.
- From age 7: our children's kart is accessible to children 1.25 m and over. Handy and easy to drive, this mini-model is powered by a 160cc HONDA engine. Much less powerful than an adult kart, it features a bucket seat, pedals and steering wheel that can be adjusted to suit the size and shape of any child. Its power can be adjusted to suit your little one's level, but also to enable him to learn to ride with confidence.
- From age 11: teenagers can climb aboard our adult models, which can reach a top speed of 70km/h.
Of course, whatever the age, if your child is apprehensive about entering the track alone, it’s perfectly possible to rent our two-seater model for a worry-free parent-child karting tour.
And what about safety?
At Karting Evasion, safety is a top priority!
Our karts for children aged 7 and over have been designed to ensure a smooth ride for apprentice drivers. Even if you press hard on the mushroom, there’s no risk of hurting yourself!
The Karting Evasion team is also on hand to give advice to the youngsters on how to get the most out of their cars.
In all cases, anti-bacterial helmets and neck braces suitable for young drivers will be given to you before you enter the vehicles, to guarantee optimum safety.
Finally, all our vehicles and equipment undergo rigorous checks by our team before each departure.
Prices for sessions with children
Karting Evasion is a 400m-long open-air track, less than 30 minutes by car from Lyon.
We welcome children aged 5 and over.
Here are our family karting rates for a 10-minute session:
- Tandem go-kart (from age 5): 38€ in pairs with an adult (price also includes seat for adult)
- Miniature go-kart (from age 7): €18 or €15 with membership card
- 11 years and over: €20 per session at a reduced rate aboard an adult model
- 27€ per session for parents and adults
Finally, we can organize a birthday party for your child at Karting Evasion Bully. With a lap around the slopes, a birthday cake and a surprise gift, your little one will have a memorable afternoon surrounded by family and friends.
