No matter how many times you type in “karting near me” or “karting around me”, one thing becomes clear: there’s no outdoor karting track in Lyon itself. But being able to air out your mind in the fresh air is much more pleasant when the sun shines…
Don’t despair! Karting Evasion and its multi-activity center are just 40 minutes from Lyon on the A89.
Our karting facility near Lyon is located in the west of France and is one of the region’s 3 major outdoor karting tracks.
Whether it’s for an initiation, a few laps around the slopes, a company seminar, a stag (or hen) party or an afternoon of fun, we welcome you in optimal conditions to ensure you have the best possible time, alone or in a group.
Ideal conditions for karting
Our karting track near Lyon welcomes you in all seasons on a circuit that will delight novices and initiates alike.
Judge for yourself: 9 turns of varying degrees of difficulty are scattered along the 400m track. At the start of the race, budding and experienced drivers alike will be able to step on the gas in the circuit’s longest straight, before using their skills to negotiate the first bend, a tight, fairly technical hairpin, which quickly leads into a second hairpin.
The Karting Evasion team will provide you with helmets and protective gear (such as neck braces), and can also give you a few tips before the whistle blows.
If this is your first experience of karting, our two-seater karts allow you to drive alongside an experienced driver. In this case, an employee will drive the vehicle, while you will be seated on the passenger side, where you can help the driver brake on bends to familiarize yourself with driving. The two-seater kart is also ideal for couples, friends or children aged 5 and over.
If you’re coming as a family, children aged 7 and over can ride in a children’s kart (less powerful and smaller), and teenagers in an adult kart.
Eight to fifteen cars take part in each 15-minute session, for maximum thrills in complete safety.
And if you want to take a break while watching the race, there’s a waiting area on the trackside.
A real leisure center with bar-restaurant, laser game and inflatable games
Karting Evasion isn’t just an outdoor karting facility near Lyon and Montluel, it’s also a fully-fledged leisure center on a 14,000m² site.
You’ll find plenty of activities to round off an exhilarating go-karting session: inflatable games for young and old over 400m² (human foosball, bungee shooting…), laser games, quad biking…
All these activities can be booked in advance, even for stag and hen parties.
